Zodiac

In April 2023 I made some paintings for my daugher because she's really into the zodiac, and had them framed to send overseas. These photos are not very nice so apologies, but you can get the gist from looking at the images below. Each sign has its own special colours, Leo being yellow and gold.

The zodiac starts each year with Aries and collage-work on these spells out the zodiac name in each case, using Japanese kanji. I got the example of the writing and the list of colours from Japan in order to complete these paintings. The marks on top of everything are made using Posca pens, which are like paint but in a pen form. They leave a thick impermeable mark but can be used like a Biro.
